Mr Zak Lo, a Project Director at First Sight International, has seen many canteens change over the last 20 years to accommodate changing needs. Compost bins and recycling areas sprouted around the periphery, while tray return corners became commonplace.

Our journey over the last 20 years includes designing and renovating over 150 libraries in schools and public spaces.

Vivid in my mind, it was the 6th of Apr 2020, as I huddled our staff for business and operations briefing to align with the COVID lockdown measures enforcement. Then, I made a bold #promise: “If we survive the pandemic, we will emerge as a stronger company.”
Fast forward to 5th Jan 2023, we finally can gather as a company for our end-of-the-year thank-you dinner for our staff. We are excited about the #milestones achieved in 2022:

Heartiest congratulations to our CEO Mr Zak Lo for his new appointment as an Executive Committee Member in the SFIC, leading the contract manufacturing sector as the Vice Chairman.
Established in 1981, SFIC is the official representative body of Singapore’s furniture and furnishings industry comprising of furniture manufacturers, interior fit-out specialists, retailers, designers, furnishings and materials suppliers; many with manufacturing plants in various ASEAN countries and China.
Since its establishment, SFIC has helped the furniture and furnishings industry in Singapore adapt to changes in the business environment by introducing trade, talent, design development and business innovation initiatives, as well as upgrading business capabilities.
First Sight International is proud of this achievement and will strive in our continuing efforts to innovate and produce sustainable furniture that will contribute to the Education Industry in Singapore and the Region.
